While it is my favorite time I get super excited to see all the new holiday products and collections. Most of you know that I started my crafty journey with stamping and cardmaking, I love documenting all of life’s moments but there is something so satisfying about making a card and sharing it with a friend or loved one.

I recently discovered a company new to me called Right At Home Stamps and the sweet Nicole was kind enough to send me some of her new holiday release to play with. I want to take a minute to introduce the stamp sets and show you some projects I made with them.

scrappy destash box kits

blog mega destash

Hey guys, thanks so much for checking out my scrappy destash. I have created 8 boxes full of fun goodies. I spent lots of times putting these kits together and they are loaded with 12×12 pattern paper, specialty papers, thickers, alphabet stickers, embellishments, washi tape, and some have stamps. I tried to make kits that would help create a cohesive album but incorporated many different lines and manufactures.

Please note: this is a destash! All 12×12 papers are full sheets and many if not most of the stickers, embellishments, and alphas are brand new, but some of the items have been slightly used. Please see the videos below for a better look at all the products.

To order a kit please go to the video and leave a comment on youtube with your paypal email address. If you do not want to leave your address in the comments, please still leave a comment on the video and then private message me your paypal email address. All prices include shipping in the US and it is first to comment. If you are interested in an already claimed box just comment ‘next for box #’ and you will be next in line.

Please pay via paypal and then I will ship out your box priority mail in a medium flat rate box, and send you tracking number. The paypal email address is codina.kate@gmail.com, I will send you an invoice, please pay within 48 hrs.

Just in case you were wondering🙂 the prices of the boxes vary depending on how much brand new product, papers, etc the kit has. The ones with more supplies are slightly more🙂

Oh and I almost forgot, everyone that purchases a box will be entered to win a little appreciation giveaway!!! For details on that please click here to watch this video.

open box: hallmark scrapbook

I recently discovered Hallmark Scrapbook and placed my first order. Below are the links to the products and a video showing them, and what I plan to do with them, in detail. I always enjoy finding new places online, especially because I do not have any local stores that sell these products.

I wanted to share my overall thoughts on the experience of ordering from Hallmark Scrapbook:

The website is super user friendly and aesthetically pleasing.

They have great prices.

Many of the newest cardmaking products.

They have an affiliate program, which is awesome.

It seems to be more focused on cardmaking which is interesting given the name is Hallmark Scrapbook. I noticed very little scrapbooking supplies, and minimal if any 12×12 paper.

This is not a store for the embellishment shopper, they mainly carry, in my opinion, stamps, dies, tools, cardstock. That being said, they have a wonderful selection of those items and I loved that I could get the latest Lawn Fawn releases and the Neenah Desert Storm cardstock I needed. Most of the time those items would have to come from different places.

I did notice many of the new products were sold out fairly quickly, specifically the newest Altenew and WPlus9 releases. My suggestion would be to get to their website quickly after new releases so as not to miss them.

Shipping is $9.99 or free for order over $99.00, I found that to be a but high but most if not all of the products on their site are discounted so I would imagine it works out to be about retail in the end. Note: the free shipping option is USPS or FedEx and shipped very quickly.

All in all I would definitely recommend checking out Hallmark Scrapbook especially for you cardmakers or stampers. I have not had to deal with their customer service but I will keep you posted if and when I ever need to.

Thanks so much for stopping by and please check out the products linked below and the video.

DIY Valentine’s Day Banner

Valentine’s Day is such a fun festive holiday, and one that is full of sweet DIY projects. As a paper crafter I am always looking to use my supplies in different ways. For this banner and the decorative straws I am using some of my steel dies, felt, and twine to create cute projects.

The great thing about these projects is that you most likely have the supplies on hand, and if not you can always trace and image and hand cut it. You can also substitute the felt with pattern paper and that would be really fun as well.

Here is what you will need:

Red Felt

White Felt

Pink Felt

Alphabet Die Set (Quinn’s ABC Lawn Fawn)

Heart Shaped Die (American Crafts Dear Lizzy)

Glue Gun

Bakers Twine

Sizzix Big Shot

To create the banner start by die cutting all your shapes and letters.

I like to use a grid mat to make sure I get the correct spacing between hearts when adding the twine. I have a found a glue gun works best for adhering the hearts to the twine.

I had a few extra hearts to I thought it would be super cute to add them to some paper straws. I just love how they turned out. I hope you have enjoyed this quick and simple Valentine’s projects and can’t wait to see what you are creating this month.

DIY holiday Gift Wrap & Home decor

One of my most favorite things about the holidays is fun DIY projects. This includes everything from home decor to custom gift wrap. I never realized how super simple (and inexpensive) it is to stamp on regular postal kraft paper and turn it into something beautiful. For this box, I used a layered wreath stamp set. I find that stamps set like this one make the gift wrap look very finished and professional. They are several different companies that make layered stamp sets both for the holidays and all year around. I would recommend using pigment ink when stamping on kraft paper because it sits on top of the paper and doesn’t soak into the paper like dye ink, I have found in my experience that the colors stay more vibrant and true. I especially like the pigment inks from Avery Elle and Colorbox Pigment Petals. I have also used some StazOn to stamp on a simple white gift bag and Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink to stamp on a kraft bag. Make sure to watch the video below to see just how I created these projects.

Next up are some 2 minute pillow boxes perfect for gift cards. Simply pick your favorite pattern paper, run through your die cutting machine, and add some simple embellishment. For these I used a Lawn Fawn die, Sizzix Big Shot, and paper from American Crafts.

Lastly, I wanted a fun canvas to add to our mantel this year and decided to make it using a cut file and the Silhouette Cameo. I picked two images and paired them together then cut using some gold foil card stock. I also cut the images from vinyl and preferred those results and would recommend that instead of card stock because you don’t have to add glue to vinyl! Huge bonus!🙂 Once adhered to a plain 12×12 canvas, you end up with this adorable addition to your holiday home decor.

I hope you have enjoyed a look at some of my holiday projects. There is a video and links to some of the products used below. Thanks so much for stopping by!
